Before handover

New construction inspection

New construction deserves a careful look too. An independent visual review can document accessible conditions before handover and help you prepare a clear list of questions for your builder.

Confirm the right stage

A completed-home inspection and a construction-phase inspection are different services. This service focuses on a finished, accessible home before handover. Any pre-drywall or other phase visit requires a separate scope, appropriate qualifications and builder permission.

02

Document specific observations

Useful findings identify the location, observed condition and why it deserves attention. Share the written report through the builder’s established process. Keep a record of responses and work completed; a statement that an item was fixed is different from a verified correction.

03

Plan a warranty review early

If you want a review before a builder warranty deadline, arrange access with enough time to deliver your written concerns. Warranty terms and coverage are specific to your agreement. An inspection cannot determine which items a builder is obligated to repair.
